WHAT SHE SAID

DC GETS THEIR DOSE OF COMEDY WITH CHERYL HINES AND TIG NOTARO

With news headlines full of creepy men lately, a little dose of laughter is exactly what we needed. W Washington DCand Brightest Young Things’ Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival welcomed an all-star comedic cast of actors for the third installment of What She Said. Tig Notaro, Cheryl Hines, and Stephanie Allynne were led by Washington Post’s Pop Culture Writer Elahe Izadi for a side-splitting chat on how the three made it as power women in the business of comedy.

Notaro, a heroic writer, standup comic and curator of the Bentzen Ball, is now hot off season two of Amazon’s critically acclaimed One Mississippi. Hines grew to fame as Larry David’s ex-wife on Curb Your Enthusiasm and is currently on tour promoting a Christmas sequel to Bad Moms. Allynne, who stars on One Mississippi and Showtime’s Twin Peaks, is a founding member of the Wild Horses improv troupe. This was a night in our nation’s capital that was seriously funny. Catch up with Notaro, Hines, and Allynne by pressing play below.
