What to Do

W Goa - What to Do

Slow Tide

Slow Tide is a new-age beach shack nestled on the rocky shores overlooking the Anjuna Bay in North Goa. Tastefully reviving the legacy of the ‘Anjuna Commune’ and nostalgia of this fishing village, Slow Tide has offered a fitting tribute to those elements, through its food, drinks, and architecture.

Bawri

The ritzy stretch of Assagao in North Goa has, in recent times, become a hotbed of culinary activity. Chefs, mixologists and well-heeled residents of luxury villa owners populate the neighbourhood. The recent entrant to the scene is chef Amninder Sandhu, whose new outpost, Bawri, has just opened its uninhibited, green spaces to hungry cognoscenti. She used to run the popular eatery Arth in Mumbai in 2017. It is not impossible for artists to subconsciously replicate previous successes, and Sandhu is a culinary virtuoso. Some of Bawri’s dishes were once hugely popular at Arth—her signature butter chicken, nihari, kakori kebabs, raan biryani, chicken khurchan and bheja masala

Avos Kitchen

Situated in the thriving village of Assagao, yet in a tranquil tropical setting, Avo’s offers authentic Goan fare, in a uniquely sophisticated layout. From the street entrance, a flight of steps opens into a shaded space enveloped in tropical greens. The al fresco dining area overlooks an open bar and kitchen on one side, and a garden, with locally grown vegetables that are used by the Avo’s Kitchen, on the other. The wicker furniture and accessories are all custom designed for Avo’s and add to the elegant laid-back charm of this enchanting space. Avo’s Kitchen welcomes guests with a warm atmosphere combined with top class service.

Tanjore Tiffin Room

In the heart of the bustling lanes of Anjuna, amidst the vibrant pulse of Goa’s coastal rhythms, an ancient Portuguese bungalow stands adorned, concealing within its weathered walls a gastronomic marvel waiting to unfold. Welcome to the Tanjore Tiffin Room, a sanctuary of flavours where tradition meets innovation, curated by the visionary restaurateur Kishore DF, a maestro known for orchestrating culinary symphonies across Mumbai’s epicurean landscape. This culinary haven isn’t just a restaurant; it’s also a pilgrimage for the taste buds. It is certainly a celebration of Tamilian culinary heritage, nestled within the embrace of Goa’s effervescent spirit.
