Earlier this summer, W Hotels proudly kicked off Queer Me Out. It’s a new speaker series celebrating the extraordinary of the LGBTQ community by bringing together new voices of the queer community from intersecting worlds like fashion, music, design, nightlife, philanthropy, media, and politics.
The national launch event took place in Washington DC, where W teamed with Capital Pride to put together an all-star panel of progressive thinkers. The group included editorial director of Paper magazine, Mickey Boardman; photographer and activist, Levi Jackman Foster; actress and poet, Trae Harris; and indie magazine editors, Abi Benitez and Tom Jackson. The free-flowing discussion focussed on the ways in which social media has led the gender conversation and connected the global queer community.
Press play to get in on the conversation. And for every listen, W Hotels will donate $1 to the True Colors Fund, which is working to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth by creating systemic change.
