That’s why Sucheta Pal, W Goa‘s fitness ambassador who also loves to party, finds time to detox, retox, and repeat, keeping up the energy from day to night. We followed Sucheta on a day through her city, from work out to chill out, racking up the best places to hangout in Goa.
8 AM: RUN & A HEALTHY BREAKFAST
It’s one life and one body and no excuses. Gift yourself 30 minutes of exercise each day. Something that you love to do. I love running on Ashvem beach. It’s a great way to get the day going right. Then, on to the signature Quinoa salad at The Kitchen Table at W Goa to keep me fueled.
11 AM: SWIM, SUN, SWEAT
Whether it’s Zumba, working out at the gym, or swimming in the pool, I love to sweat. I discovered Zumba in 2009 back in the United States on a cold winter morning and I was intrigued by this amazing but slightly overweight instructor, who didn’t care about size at all, yet was inspiring 80 of us to sweat, dance and get fit with her. I knew that day that this type of instructor was who I wish to be: a mentor and a coach – a teacher in the truest sense.
2 PM: RETOX & SHOP
A whey protein shake is what I dig post workout and some time to relax. I love Sacha’s Shop for all the right fashion and accessories, a perfect place to stock up on style before a night out. Two things you need when you’re exploring Goa: A pair of shades and an appetite.
4 PM: COCKTAIL HOUR
Black Sheep Bistro for a refreshing cocktail. My go-to cocktail has to be a sangria. It’s my little cheat drink. A glass of wine with fruit is supposed to be healthy, right?
8 PM: NIGHT OUT ON THE WATER
The perfect end to a day of detoxing and retoxing is a beautiful sunset boat ride on a local boat just around Morjim Beach before hitting the town. My favorite thing about Goa nightlife is meeting absolute strangers who become lifelong friends.
